This section will be of particular interest to those of you who have bought our exchange betting racing system and most of you will be here because of the link in the book. Below are our recommended providers and links to sign up to them.

What Is Exchange Betting

Exchange betting is effectively person-to-person betting with the exchanges acting as brokers holding the funds on escrow and settling up after the event. This has a number of advantages over traditional betting with the main one being the odds are normally considerably better (20% plus is not uncommon). Other major advantages are:

  • The ability to lay as well as back which allows you to back a horse (or horses) to lose any particular race.
  • Bet sizes are only restricted by liquidity so it is normally easier to place a big bet on the exchanges than with a conventional bookmaker who may limit the bet size or offer different odds.
  • You can ask for a better price than that currently on offer by leaving a bet on the exchange - you may not get it but the option is always there.
  • You can bet in running - again bets will depend on liquidity but it is often possible to place a bet mid race however only Betfair and Betdaq currently offer this service.

Betfair

This is curently the biggest site with good liquidity and some interesting options like AvB where you are betting on one horse to finish ahead of the other and each way betting (actually place betting which has its uses). You can deposit up to £5000 per day. Commissions vary from 2%-5% of winnings depending on the volume of bets you have placed. Back or Lay at Betfair.com. Click Here!

Betdaq

We like Betdaq and although it is not as busy as Betfair at present it deserves a look and your support. Offers a good multiple betting service for those of you bold enough to take this option full details of which will be in next months news letter. Tou can deposit up to £2000 per day. Commissions vary from 2%-5% of winnings depending on the volume of bets you have placed. Betdaq offers each-way bets (place bets) and betting multiples on horses (they are the only ones to offer this at present). You can sign up here

Ibetx

Currently a small site with limited liquidity but still worth a look. Sign up is a bit more involved with them but its not too onerous. Commissions are lower at 1%-3% however there are no each way bets or multiples at present. Sign up link
